Our Story

"I encourage everybody to write their story,
because the story they don't tell
is a library lost to all their families and friends.
And I really believe that everybody has a great story.
It's just sometimes we think we have to have these bigger than life lives and sometimes it's the simplest stories."

I've been following Kathy's blog the last few days as I've started reading her book this past weekend.
The above quote was part of an interview that she did with EON.

As I type out the bits and pieces of my life on this blog, how easy it is for me to think, what a nobody I am, why would anybody be interested in my humble life.

Her words spoken and written both on the site and in her book, have helped me to see that my story written here on this blog is an important part of life.
Your story is important too. Don't ever be ashamed to share whatever it is you want to, in any manner that you are able.

I find bloggers to be a faceted and fascinating lot.
As I told Kathy, it is often hard for me to find time to read books as I'm so caught up in reading these virtual mini books of peoples lives.

It is, in part a social thing. I've surely made many friends. But in a whole other way it is a way of communicating with the world, that...
Hey, I'm here, and I matter.

Who knows where this blogging will take us.
Many get inspired and go on to write a book.
Many get inspired and creative in the arts.
Maybe doing things they never thought possible in their lives.
For sure we learn a lot and are able to hold a decent conversation with others.
Some may look askance at the fact that we say we read it on a blog.
But then they are probably the uninitiated
and need to
"get with" the twenty first century!
Blogging Rawks!

So, I say, read your books...
write your story...be it journal or blog!
Read your favorite blogs!
It is never a waste of time!
Stay interesting and upbeat!
These are the best days of our lives!
And hey,
if the tiara fits...
wear it!!!
I'm gonna...I am
Princess Pink Magnolia after all!!
