Dear Readers,
As you may not know, supermodel Paulina Porizkova, was right here in Jefferson, Texas but not as a model, as an author! Yes, Paulina has written a novel, "A Model Summer" and is a 2008 Spring Pulpwood Queen Book Club Selection. I read her book and was so taken with her story I have been telling everybody that if every woman and their daughter would read this book we could change the face of modeling today. Paulina is smart, beautiful both inside and out, and we were thrilled to crown her a Pulpwood Queen.
Tomorrow night, Wednesday on the CW will air the new season of America's Top Model. Paulina will be featured big time so we hope all you Pulpwood Queens and Timber Guys turn on the sets to support this literacy leader.
Remember you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover but in this case the cover and the book match to a T! Five stars in my tiara, my bookloving friends for "A Model Summer", and I know I can't wait to watch Paulina in action.

Just wanted to let you know that America's Next Top Model will premiere this Wednesday, February 20 at 8:00 pm on CW11.
As far as I know Paulina will not be in this episode because the premiere will feature this season's contestants. However, they don't tell us everything so you never know . . .

And enjoy the photo of ME and PAULINA! I call this photo "Beauty and the Book"! Paulina told me two things that I will never forget. First, that if she had not been put on a plane at 15 to go to Paris and be a model, she would be a librarian today. Second, on taking her back to the airport she told me that normally for a getaway, she flies to Indonesia or Bali but for now on she was coming to historic Jefferson, Texas! She told me I could quote her on that! I always knew Jefferson was special but how is that for a big ole stamp of approval. Paulina in Jefferson. Still blows my mind! Watch her on your t.v. tomorrow night!
