We also had our Pulpwood Queens of East Texas and Linden, Texas Book Club hold Book and Lawn Sale Fundraiser this past Saturday to raise funds for our Literary Tour and Cruise below. If you are interested, please contact me a.s.a.p. as deadline is fast approaching for first deposit! This will be an incredible life experience tour for anyone who loves travel, books, chocolate, and girlfriend time! I can hardly wait.

Our PQ chapter is next planning a Pulpwood Queen Car Wash to raise further funds and all involved split the profits for the tour. We are planning many more fundraisers for this trip to make it fly. We always use the excuse, I don't have the time or the money. Honey, we're making the time and raising the money one yard sale, car wash, bake sale, at a time until we raise the funds. Besides I had so much fun Saturday it wasn't even funny and exchanged the coolest stuff with my Pulpwood Queen Girlfriends! Nothing is more fun than getting rid of stuff we don't need, getting new stuff, and having fun with our girlfriends. Won't you join us? Photos from that event and more on the authors in attendance coming soon on our blog site, www.pulpwoodqueen.com

Itinerary and Pricing for Pulpwood Queen Literary Tour in Europe and Cruise on Queen Mary 2!

Please join us…
Anne Isham, author of
“Eat (More) Chocolate—Lose Weight (Anyway): The Chocoholic’s Survival Guide and Practical Handbook”
…and…
Kathy L. Patrick, author of
“The Pulpwood Queens’ Tiara-Wearing, Book-Sharing Guide To Life”
* Ship’s registry British
Starting in New York on November 11, 2008 for our flight to
London, our Odyssey continues to Hay-On-Wye, Wales, recognized as
the premier book town of Great Britain and Europe. We’ll spend
three nights at Baskerville Hall, where we will be entertained by a
local author with stories of the hi-jinks of Welsh eccentrics, ancient
and modern, living and not so much so… And three days of
browsing the bookstores and antique shops of this ancient village.
On November 15Th, after browsing the bookstores and antique shops
of Hay-On-Wye, we will travel to South Hampton, England and
board the elegant Cunard ocean liner, Queen Mary 2 for a luxurious
six-day cruise back to New York, with all the pampering for which
the QM2 is famous. During the days at sea, you’ll be treated to a
thought-provoking agenda of lively literary discussions, book
reviews and fascinating discourses on how (really!) to eat more
chocolate and lose weight anyway, even on a legendarily epicurean
cruise… Learn the secret of morphing yourself from an out-of control
indiscriminate chocoholic into a sleek, svelte, sophisticated
connoisseur of fine chocolate.
Hay-On-Wye is an ancient village in the Northeast corner of The Breton
National Park, Wales that just happens to have more bookstores, per acre, than
anywhere else on the planet. It also boasts a profusion of antique shops and over a
thousand years of history.
Baskerville Hall, where we will spend three nights, was built in 1839, was featured
in Conan Doyle’s book “The Hound of the Baskervilles”. Since extensive restoration
in 1984, it has been operated as a hotel and conference center.
The Queen Mary 2 is one of the most elegant ocean liners afloat and boasts the
largest library at sea. The QM2 is famous for its impeccable service, High British Tea
and world-class chefs and all-embracing luxury.

Anne Isham, philosopher, adventurer, chocolatier
has regaled audiences across the U.S. for years, as
she dispenses the good news about chocolate.
During the cruise, in addition to her programs on the
appreciation of fine chocolate, its history and health
benefits, Anne Isham will tell how you can enjoy all the
wonders of the Queen Mary 2, including High Tea, and all
the scrumptious gourmet dinners on this elegant ocean
liner, and finish the cruise in better shape than you started.

Kathy L. Patrick, author, and hairdresser to the
authors, is the witty, zany, endearingly outrageous
founder of both Beauty and the Book Beauty
Salons and The Pulpwood Queens Book Clubs
During the cruise, Kathy Patrick will lead lively,
enlightening book and beauty discussions.
